Camden Lock & Soho

I went down to visit Adrian, Kat and Katherine (and babies) down in London over the half-term break. Maia was delighted with the new noise-making machine I got her from the German market, but she's no Lionel Hampton on it yet. Her method of attacking the xylophone was more of a stab motion than a thwack, but after a few minutes of training she started to get an idea on how to produce music more efficiently. We had a fantastic curry and some wine and I got a chance to meet baby Hannah for the first time. She's an observant little thing. It's a bit eerie sometimes when she stares into your soul with a blank face.

I had a chance to peruse Dr Adrian Groves' thesis paper and I was overwhelmed with a feeling of inferiority in comparison to the bulbous cranium inside that man's skull. Look at the grin on his face. That smug grin of pseudo-modesty. You bastard.

Adrian and Kat and I went down to Camden Lock in London, which is easily the coolest place I've been in London yet. It reminded me a bit of the markets in Korea, but perhaps I'm just inexperienced with marketplaces in general. Highlights included Cyberdog, which is pretty much a nightclub that sells rave clothing instead of drinks, and the grungier areas in general, which I found to be strangely photogenic. We also went to Soho, but it was substantially less interesting. Nice buildings though. The pictars will explain better than my words so here you go:
